SIX DIMENSIONS TO MAKE VISIBLE — HOVER OVER A CARD
Build shared understanding
Executive leaders, business teams, IT, consultants and local teams do not naturally attach the same meaning to ‘value’, ‘target’, ‘quality’ or ‘adoption’. Building shared understanding creates a common language before misunderstandings become obstacles.
Adapt enterprise processes
A new tool should not merely digitise the current state. Processes must be reviewed, simplified and contextualised, taking account of accountabilities, local constraints and the organisation’s actual capacity to change.
Build the quality framework
Quality extends beyond testing. It also covers collaboration rules, validation criteria, expected evidence and how deviations are assessed and resolved. This framework must be tailored to each transformation.
Design decision-oriented reporting
A single dashboard cannot meet every audience’s needs. Reporting must connect progress, quality, risks, value and adoption, then provide each governance level with the information required to decide.
Prepare adoption from the outset
Adoption is not a communication activity added before deployment. It begins when stakeholders understand the reason for change, contribute to decisions and can measure the impact on their practices.
Capture lessons learned
Without knowledge capture, every programme rediscovers the same difficulties. Decisions, deviations, solutions and outcomes must become reusable capabilities across the enterprise.
THE CONNECTING THREAD
Change management is not a downstream workstream. It is a cross-functional capability.
EATO does not replace a change management methodology. It integrates change management into the transformation system and connects it to strategy, governance, enterprise architecture and execution.
